Avalanche avoidance for walkers and climbers

This course is suited to walkers and climbers with basic proficiency in the winter mountains, who would like to develop a better understanding of the planning and descision making necessary for safe travel in snowy conditions. The use of transcievers is not normally covered, however this can be arranged in advance if required. It can be quite scary out there but a little knowledge goes a long way!

These are one day, open courses requiring a minimum of three persons to run, otherwise advance bookings will be refunded or a deal can be struck based our usual day rate. The course will likely make use of ski centre lifts in order to access the snow line quickly, the cost of this is included in the price.
