Terms of service
For bookings made within two weeks of the start date, full payment will be required. Further in advance, a £50 deposit will be required in order to secure a date and the balance paid prior to two weeks. Monies will then be held in trust until completion.
If you have to cancel after full payment no refund can be made. Cancellation insurance is recommended in case of this, which can be obtained from the BMC amongst others.
If you have any queries, please call or email.
If I have to cancel a booking, fees will be refunded in full immediately.
In the event of unsuitable weather or conditions an alternative activity or venue may be organised, if that would be useful and enjoyable for the client. Failing that, the fee will be refunded, less the deposit which I will retain. This can then be redeemed against an alternative booking on another date.
Participants must beat least 18 years of age or be accomanied by their own parent or legal guardian.
Please read and then sign your acknowledgement the participation statement. This is all about having a common sense approach with personal responsibility.
“It should be recognised that skiing, climbing, hillwalking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement."
Coronavirus is an ongoing threat to society, no matter where we go or what we do. However, evidence suggests that outdoor activities may present a lower risk of virus transmission. Access-Mountain Ltd will base its activities on Scottish and UK Government guidelines, plus the those of British Mountain Guides (BMG) and the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI).
Mountain Guiding should be possible from 3rd July 2020, with most activities being possible, however some flexibility and adaptation will be necessary in order to mitigate against Covid.
We will maintain social distancing as much as reasonably practicable, however clients should understand and accept that sometimes a degree of proximity will be required in order to manage safety and security.
Any bookings made will require payment prior to fulfilment, however in the event that a participant or Guide/Instructor become unwell or are asked to self-isolate any monies paid will be refunded in full.
